ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for an enthusiastic industry expert willing to engage and inspire the next generation of skilled arborists.

This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate arborist professional looking to pass on their skills and motivate others. You will need to have the art of delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline, equipping students with essential skills for careers in tree biology, pruning, disease management, and safe tree climbing techniques.

In this position you will work with a team of committed educators who provide exceptional training for young people starting their careers, those looking for career advancement opportunities and corporate clients seeking whole of organisation training solutions.

In this teaching role, you'll share your expertise and practical skills while delivering training in both the Certificate III and Diploma of Arboriculture.

Selected Duties:

  • Prepare, deliver, and assess engaging training programs for TAFE students and industry clients in line with Institute policies and procedures.

  • Draw on your practical arboriculture experience and theoretical knowledge to provide students with a high standard of education and hands-on learning.

  • Inspire and mentor students, ensuring they gain the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in arboriculture.

ABOUT YOU

Skills & Experience

  • You hold at least a Certificate III in Arboriculture (a Diploma of Arboriculture is also highly regarded) and have significant industry experience.

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is preferred; if you don't have this yet, we'll support you to obtain it while you work and earn.

  • You're motivated, organised, and able to show initiative when planning and delivering training.

  • You take pride in helping students achieve their goals and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
