We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our team. This role will be commencing in Term
At Ascham, teachers are responsible for the intellectual development and wellbeing of their students. Teachers deliver excellence in developing and delivering academic programs through the Dalton Plan, administration of student assessment and results, marking and record keeping. Teachers also have a form class where they monitor the wellbeing of their students and deliver the wellbeing program. All teachers contribute to the activities of their department and the School as a whole.
What You Will Do
Write, implement and evaluate teaching programs and Dalton assignments
Evaluate teaching programs in relation to student progress
Develop effective examination, testing and reporting procedures
Use and develop innovative curriculum on the school Learning Management System
Actively participate in the planning of the curriculum, writing of programs and scope and sequences, writing of resources
Use formative and summative assessment to determine student progress
Create a stimulating classroom environment where students can flourish
Teach within the Dalton Principles, including Responsibility, Independence, Collaboration and Reflection.
What You Will Bring
A tertiary qualification in Teaching and accreditation with NESA
Experience in teaching Mathematics to HSC levels.
Understanding of and commitment to WHS legislation and risk management principles
A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
