Role and Responsibilities:

As a Disability Support Worker with Wise Healthcare, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or within a community setting.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
  • Promoting social engagement and participation in recreational and community activities.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of the care provided and any developments or changes in the individual's condition.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in disability support work or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including the potential for shift work and weekends.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a relevant qualification is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
