Emerald, Australia CQ Commercial Laundry Full time $76,515 - $90,000 per year

CQ Commercial Laundry – A member of the Nevic Holdings Companies is a large commercial industrial laundry based in Emeralds industrial estate, servicing the central highlands, coalfields and surrounds. Owned by a local family and operating for over 13 years, with private commercial and mining clients.

Due to recent growth, we are looking to employ experienced full time maintenance technicians.

We have roles available for maintenance technicians (AUD 76, ,000) as well as senior maintenance technicians (AUD 80,000 – 90,000).

Key Responsibilities

· Perform Routine Checks: A regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all machine systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

· Problem-Solving/Troubleshoot and Repair: Identify cause of issues quickly and determine appropriate solutions on all machine system issues to perform accurate repair or replacement of defective parts without disruption to everyday production.

· Safety compliance: Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations to avoid accident or injury situations.

· Proactive to all Maintenance Requests: Attend maintenance requests promptly in addition to the efficiency and smooth run of plant production

· Data Records: Participate on the maintenance platform used to keep accurate records of job activities, repairs and inventory of parts needed. Conduct or make reports on the issues found and present possible solutions to rectify or prevent damage as soon as possible.

· Communicate / Collaborate with Teams: Through effective relaying of information and work with other staff members ensuring that the job expectation is achieved. The senior maintenance technician will be responsible for supervision, training and team management.

Skills and experience required

· Relevant certificate, diploma or higher qualification related to electrical/electronic and or mechanical principles

· If no qualification at least 3 years of relevant experience

· Prior experience in a commercial laundry environment would be beneficial but not essential

· Understanding of electronic instruments and controls/ electronic machinery

· Technician maintenance skills relating to fault diagnostics, repair and replacement

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· Awareness of occupational health and safety and maintaining a safe working environment

· Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box to ensure little to no disruption to everyday productivity
