VALE Partners is proud to partner with an innovative, customer-focused market leader in their space as they expand their team during an exciting phase of growth. With significant year-on-year growth, they are scaling their in-house technology stack and are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join thier team.

In this role you'll work on a platform that is used daily by thousands of users. You'll be at the heart of the platforms evolution, working closely with a variety of stakeholders to deliver high-performance features form concept to deployment.

Role Overview:

  • Design and implement high-performance APIs
  • Optimise PostgreSQL databases and cloud-based systems
  • Own features end-to-end from ideation to deployment, monitoring and iteration
  • Work on a complex and scalable platform

What you'll ideally have:

  • Prior experience with a JVM language
  • Strong PostgreSQL, SQL, RDBMS knowledge
  • Experience building in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • A track record of working on high-traffic environments and resolving real-time issues.
