Due to significant ongoing projects we are now seeking an additional Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer to join our evolving Australasia team. The ideal Project Engineer will have at least 2 year's critical HV project engineering experience and the ability to undertake activities from tender support, project engineering, system studies, preparation, and review of equipment specifications and project documentation.
At Rongxin Power Ltd, part of Rongxin Huiko Electric Co., Ltd, we specialise in delivering turnkey and EPC solutions for the electricity supply industry, providing system studies, design, procurement, construction, commissions and project management of complex installations.
Your practical experience in HV electrical engineering, together with your exposure to quality inspections, will stand you in good stead for the challenges of this role. Ideally from a contracting background, you will use your hands-on project management experience from a supplier/client perspective to support your overall decision making.

With our International Team headquartered in Manchester UK, you will base yourself out of your home office/remote office attending weekly team meetings online and in the central Sydney area. You also will be willing and able to travel frequently across Australia and internationally as required to work with other parts of the team, support project design, procurement, delivery, FAT and site installation and commissioning works.
Responsibilities to include:
Pre-Contract:
· Help review tender technical requirements
· Review and help prepare technical proposals
· Preparation of technical tender deviations
· Participate in proposal presentations
Post Contract:
· Supporting the engineering design and implementation interfaces between the RXHK Statcom, balance of plant and sub-contractor scopes
· Reviewing works at design and implementation stage to ensure that client employer requirements are being achieved or exceeded
· Responsibility for completion of individual tasks within a specified timescale
· Completion of necessary documentation of activities during design and implementation, commissioning phases
· Attendance at relevant factory and site acceptance tests for quality inspections and ensuring contractual requirements are achieved or exceeded
· Ensuring works are carried out in safe, efficient and coordinated manner
Desired Background:
· Experience in carrying out complex projects on EHV and HV electrical substations from a contractor perspective
· Experience of equipment involving power electronics such as FACTS, WTGs, PV, BESS
· Minimum 2 years relevant experience, preferable 5 years plus
Skills:
· Good understanding of construction projects
· Experience of relevant IEC and other Standards
· Relevant professional qualification desirable
· Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
· Fluency in English is essential, additional languages desirable
· Self starter, well organised, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal supervision in a team environment
· Ability and willingness to travel internationally
