An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Analyst to join our team to manage and drive our FCL, OOG and BBK products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FCL rate negotiations and provide feedback to shipping lines on rate and service level requirements
  • Attend core carrier meetings (including QBR's) with shipping lines together with the Sea Freight Product Manager
  • Take a leadership role for FCL development and growth of our volumes in Australia and New Zealand
  • Take ownership of the Breakbulk and OOG product and develop a strong expertise on this segment
  • Provide internal guidance / communicate with the Commercial/Pricing teams throughout Australia and New Zealand about any ocean freight related topics
  • Review and maintain Australian Röhlig local tariffs
  • Handle local and overseas enquiries relating to FCL rates and services
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve any FCL issues that arise
  • Support FCL Tender requests within the specified timeframe

Requirements

  • Familiar with ocean freight procedures and understanding of freight forwarding / shipping industry.
  • Strong FCL and OOG/BBK product knowledge
  • Experience with CargoWise system (CW1) preferred
  • Strong attention to details and pro-active attitude
  • Previous experience in a Commercial role (i.e. pricing, sales support, procurement etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivating and goal orientated with ability to work under pressure
  • Able to work collectively and independently and is flexible with hours due to nature of role and peak seasons (e.g. tender season)
