About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join its manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and repair of metal components and trailers using a range of welding techniques within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
  • Fabricate, assemble and repair steel components using MIG/TIG and other welding techniques
  • Measure, cut, shape and align materials prior to welding
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
  • Operate workshop machinery and equipment safely
  • Work effectively within a production team to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workspace in line with WHS standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as a Welder (or similar role)
  • Demonstrated experience in MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Experience working with structural steel
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication/Welding (or equivalent) is highly regarded
