We're seeking 2 x communications and media specialists to join DEECA's Strategic Communications team to promote programs and initiatives that help Victorians save on energy costs and contribute to Victoria's renewable energy future.

Reporting to Manager, Media and Communications, these senior roles will deliver communications for the Energy portfolio and Solar Victoria's programs. The successful candidates will be required to manage complex communications challenges, develop compelling narratives to be communicated through multi-channel strategies, and think innovatively to deliver below-the-line communications solutions.

We're looking for communications superstars who have strong collaboration skills, the proven ability to build professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, and who enjoy working in a fun and supportive team environment.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary degree or industry recognised qualification in communications or public relations (or similar) would be well regarded.
  • Minimum five years' experience spanning communications, media and marketing.
  • Contemporary knowledge of strategic communications and media channels and processes.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience working in government is preferred.

These are fixed term positions available until 30 June 2027. The work location for these positions is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
