About Our Role
For more than 19 years, WGA has been delivering a broad range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for utilities, local government clients and contractors. Due to a rapidly growing list of exciting new opportunities across multiple regions we are looking to increase our delivery capability with the addition of a Principal Engineer to be based in our Adelaide office.
- Deliver the detailed design of a broad range of water and waste projects including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and managed aquifer recharge schemes.
- Provide technical mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ensure design compliance with relevant standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and success.
About You
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- 7+ years' experience delivering engineering solutions for water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Chartered Engineer status (CPEng or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Australian water industry standards and sustainability practices.
- Consulting experience (desirable)
- Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved and lead others, whilst contributing to a vibrant team.
- Up for the challenge of contributing to growing our water business across Australia.
