The Opportunity:
- Part-Time, 0.8 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment.
- PW4 $66,921 - $72,661 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Waverley Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.

Holmesglen's Waverley Library is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team. In this role, you will work closely with faculties and departments to select and curate course materials, ensuring students have access to essential resources in both electronic and print formats. You will support students in developing information literacy skills, maintain the library website with up-to-date materials, and assist in delivering Information Literacy programs. By collaborating with teachers, you will help ensure textbooks and resources are readily available, contributing to students' academic success and overall learning experience.

As an Information Services Librarian, you will:
- Collaborate with faculties to meet information needs and support educational programs.
- Select, recommend, and review course materials, ensuring collections remain current and relevant.
- Prepare reading lists and bibliographies using electronic and print-based resources for teaching staff.
- Maintain and develop library website content for designated liaison areas.
- Deliver Information Literacy sessions and provide student support in accessing, analysing, and citing information.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Relevant library experience, including knowledge of procedures, practices, and management systems.
- High-level customer service and telephone skills, providing courteous, informative, and accurate responses.
- Ability to coordinate workflow, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competence in MS Office, internet-based applications, and database management software.
- Relevant degree or diploma with experience (or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience) and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
