The Opportunity

As the Head of Regulatory and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation operates with excellence and integrity. You will lead compliance with NDIS standards, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen governance frameworks that protect the rights of participants and support safe, high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of a robust Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Manage incident reporting, restrictive practices, and audit responses.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Framework.
  • Provide strategic advice and reporting to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Work with operations to build internal capability through training and coaching on compliance matters.
  • Represent the organisation in external forums and sector networks.

About You

Essential:

  • 5+ years proven experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within the NDIS or human services sector.
  • In-depth understanding of NDIS legislation, frameworks and standards, and all compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership in governance, risk, and quality systems.
  • Proven ability to partner with the executive team and embed systems and processes deep within the organisation
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in health administration, disability services, law, or a related field.
  • Experience in clinical governance and behavioural support compliance.
  • Familiarity with systems thinking and evidence-based policy development.
