
Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide a warm, professional front-of-house experience
- Manage phone calls, emails, and appointment bookings
- Process patient registrations, referrals, and payments
- Handle Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, NDIS, and private health claims
- Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
- Liaise with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and stock management
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
Skills & Qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with computers and practice management software (training provided if required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in medical reception, administration, or customer service (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private health claiming (desirable)
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
