ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, full-time traineeship where you'll work as part of a dedicated team building the timber frames and trusses that form the backbone of residential and commercial construction projects across Queensland.

As a Timber Frame & Truss Manufacturing Trainee, you'll be involved in real, practical work from day one — using tools, machinery, and your own hands to bring construction plans to life. You'll gain valuable industry skills while completing a Certificate III in Timber Frame and Truss Manufacture (FWP30920), fully supported by experienced tradespeople and mentors.**18-month traineeship – Certificate III in Frame & Truss Manufacturing (FWP

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•** Manufacture timber house frames, wall frames, and roof trusses

• Use saws, hand tools, and machinery (full training provided)

• Load and prepare timber for machining

• Read and interpret basic house plans

• Measure and cut timber to required profiles

• Follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly

• Maintain quality control standards and minimise waste

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• Full working and study rights in Australia (requirement)

• A current driver's license (P1's minimum)

• A genuine interest in working with timber and building

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working attitude

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Good physical fitness and ability to work in a physically demanding role

• Has had some form of employment
