In this role, you'll:
Work within the People Planning and Capability Branch of NSW TrainLink, leading a team as the expert in training competency for rail safety workers to deliver all training related to the introduction of the New Regional Fleet.
This role will see you managing all Learning Pathway Programs related to the introduction of the New Regional Fleet and act as the Technical Training and Capability Subject Matter Expert to ensure that competency and regulatory requirements are met to develop a competent and capable workforce.
You will be making sure the New regional Fleet training matches the regulatory requirements, updating and creating materials, setting the guidelines, consulting with the rail unions and leading your team in the writing and facilitation of the training.
This is a fixed-term full time role to October 2027. There is flexibility for this role to located in Sydney or a regional location in NSW with hybrid working options available for regional based candidates. The salary is RC7 ($167,229 - $183,993) + super + annual leave loading.

About you
Your demonstrated experience in training, leading others and projects, will accompany your experience in training competencies for rail safety workers.
You're recognised as having a strong understanding of regulatory requirements for rail safety workers, a knowledge of regional rail and ideally also have a qualification in Training and Assessment and/or experience in VET Adult education.
Together with your willingness to travel regionally when required, your can-do attitude and solutions focus will see you make a difference and bring continuous improvement as you drive the change for better training for all staff.
