We are currently seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to join our team in Melbourne.
About The Role
RATP Dev Australia is seeking an Asset Engineer to join our technical and engineering teams. This role will define, develop, and maintain asset management processes, plans, and systems that enable safe and efficient rail operations and system readiness.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop and maintain Asset Management Policy, Strategy, and Asset Management Plans, including infrastructure and rolling stock.
- Contribute to the development of the Asset Management System and Asset Information Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 55000 Asset Management standards.
- Build and maintain an asset database integrated with the Project Information Model (PIM) as a full digital twin.
- Define asset criticality, key risks, and lifecycle cost models to inform replacement and refurbishment programs.
- Define spares and consumables strategies and initial maintenance works programs.
- Coordinate with engineering and operational teams to define asset interfaces and integration into system readiness.
- Produce asset management procedures, guides, and templates.

About You:
Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Engineer with proven experience in rail asset management and system readiness. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 7–10 years' experience in asset management on rail or complex transport projects.
- Experience in asset management solution architecture, including configuration and data interfaces.
- Experience with Operations Control Asset Data Management (e.g., Maximo, Snowflake) and Condition Monitoring Systems (IoT).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Certification or training in relevant system technologies or methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with project management methodologies and successfully delivering complex system projects on time and within budget is a plus.
