Freight Handler

Hunter Express is one of the few remaining Australian owned companies who can provide individuals/businesses with transport solutions and we are a leader in delivering to residential addresses.

We are currently in the market to recruit a freight handler and someone who can grow in the role to progressively take on more responsibility. A forklift licence is an absolute requirement.

The successful applicant will be one is looking for a consistent 6 or so hours per day with the flexibility to increase to increase that as needed. You must also have the following requirements:

• Ability to work every day from Monday to Friday, and be flexible enough to work on the occasional weekend, especially in and around Xmas when it is essential
• Forklift licence and skill is essential
• Understand that Nov to Jan is a crazy period and extra hours will be needed from you along with most Saturday's
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm and strong work ethic
• Team playing attributes but the ability, desire and enjoy the experience of working alone occasionally

You must be physically capable as this role is all about lifting and moving cartons/boxes. There is some forklift driving involved, but the primary function of the role is to manually move boxes.

There is good consistent work available for the right person with the progression into using our IT systems and looking after the facility in the absence of the depot supervisor.
