Position Overview

A family in Alice Springs is seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Qualified Nanny to provide childcare and light household support. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children, while assisting with household routines to support the family's day-to-day needs.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare Duties

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care to children according to family preferences.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities (educational, creative, and recreational).
  • Assist with children's daily routines, including meals, dressing, school drop-offs/pickups, and homework support.
  • Ensure children's safety, wellbeing, and development are prioritised.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for learning and growth.

Household Duties (as agreed)

  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children (and occasionally the household).
  • Maintain tidiness in children's areas (playrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen).
  • Assist with light household chores such as laundry and general organisation.
  • Grocery shopping or errands as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate III/Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Nannying, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Current Working With Children Check (Ochre Card – NT requirement).
  • Police Clearance.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in nannying, childcare, or related role.
  • Valid Driver's Licence with safe driving record.
