Territory Generation is a Government Owned Corporation that was formed in 2014. We produce the majority of the electricity to

Role Responsibilities

You will provide executive level management and advice on the development and implementation of strategic asset management plans

and systems to ensure that Territory Generation meets its strategic objectives.

1) Responsible for TGen asset integrity and statutory obligations through its intended life across all TGen assets.

2) Maintain asset performance to a high standard and providing professional engineering services to support the short to long-term

operations, to ensure desired plant availability and reliability through a distributed team of professional engineers.

3) Provide executive level strategic advice to the Deputy CEO Assets and Engineering, the CEO and Board on the development and

delivery of the corporation's sustaining capital projects portfolio and on the Corporation's technical risk function to ensure effective

risk and process safety management.

4) Lead commercial and technical negotiations with major equipment Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), service providers, and

strategic partners. Secure favourable terms for capital projects, long-term service agreements, and critical spares, balancing cost

efficiency with technical excellence and risk mitigation.

5) Provide executive level leadership and strategic direction to the Engineering Group and the staff within the group in order to achieve

the strategic objectives of Territory Generation in asset management across the Northern Territory.

6) Ensure positive safety behaviours are embedded across the teams and that safety and environmental KPIs are achieved in compliance

with the Safety and Environmental Management plans.

7) Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders to project a positive image of Territory Generation internally and

externally.

8) Actively model Territory Generation's Values and behave in a manner that is consistent with the Code of Conduct in order to drive a

constructive culture.

Selection Criteria

Essential

1) Proven ability to provide executive level management and advice on the development and implementation of strategic asset

management plans and systems to ensure that Territory Generation meets its strategic objectives.

2) Proven ability to provide executive level strategic advice on the development and delivery of the corporation's sustaining capital

projects portfolio and on the Corporation's technical risk function to ensure effective risk and process safety management.

3) Proven ability in strategic asset management planning in a power or related heavy industry environment.

4) Proven abilities in strategic project management and portfolio management.

5) Proven executive level contemporary leadership and management skills including business planning, human resource management,

human resource development, safety management and management of output performance.

6) Excellent analytical and creative skills appropriate to making sound judgements on financial matters, risk management and resource

allocation to achieve high level business objectives.

7) High level engineering knowledge of contemporary issues in the areas of strategic asset management and planning in the power

industry.

8) Superior interpersonal skills particularly in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution in order to balance

competing demands and influence outcomes.

9) Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles,

corporate values, and strategies.

Desirable

1) Tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.

2) Complimentary qualifications in Project Management, Business Management or similar.

3) Understanding of the business and regulatory environment in which a Government Owned Corporation Operates.
