About the team

The Digital Publishing & Distribution team leads the end-to-end publishing, delivery and distribution of content across Destination NSW's consumer websites and   to ensure a consistent, timely and visitor-centred customer experience.

The team is responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of digital content, driving engagement and leads that support the NSW and Sydney Visitor Brand Strategy and broader Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 targets.

The Senior Digital Publisher role is responsible for producing, publishing and maintaining best-practice digital content that supports DNSW's strategic objectives and enhances the user experience.

About the role

The Senior Digital Publisher is responsible for the planning and execution of the publishing schedule aligned to the consumer marketing content framework including supporting the design of new digital experiences, conducting user acceptance testing as required across projects and execution of the conversion rate optimisation program.

The day-to-day –

Reporting to the Associate Director Digital Publishing & distribution, the role will:

  • Maintain, update and build webpages and campaign content that support organisational OKRs and deliver measurable results.
  • Produce high-quality digital content that meets best-practice accessibility, usability and SEO standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams — including design, marketing, development and analytics (internal and external) — to deliver high-quality production changes and integrated marketing campaigns across owned channels.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure all digital projects meet DNSW requirements and deliver intended outcomes.
  • Manage digital requirements for ad hoc projects, including preparing technical briefs, coordinating content workflows, and providing structured feedback via Jira and
  • Use the Drupal 9 CMS to create, publish and maintain content across consumer websites.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Digital Media, marketing, Web Publishing or a closely related discipline; or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience using content management systems and databases to build, publish and maintain website content.
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing and online publishing environment, including the ability to prepare clear briefs and guidelines for agencies, stakeholders and technology partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise, collaborate and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders.
