Funeral Director

An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate professional to join the close team at Premier Funerals, Currimundi for a full time Funeral Director.

The dedicated team of funeral professionals at Premier Funerals are committed to serving each and every family with dignity and respect. Premier Funerals has established itself as a specialist in conducting funeral services tailored to all cultures and religions.

We are looking for a professional who is willing to assist in all areas of the business. Some of the tasks we expect staff to perform include: -

• Respectful transfer of the deceased into our care
• Meeting with families to make arrangements
• Administration and preparation for funeral services
• Conducting and also assisting on funeral services
• Assist with the general operational, maintenance and administration of the business premises and equipment

This is a job that requires a special type of person.  Applicants will have a mature attitude, possessing compassion and empathy.

• Possess great inter-personal skills, and be sensitive and caring to assist grieving people
• Great organisational skills and a positive attitude to manage demanding workloads
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing situations with a calm & professional manner
• Have an exceptional eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills are required
• Strong administration skills to manage workload
• Have the capacity to be at ease with handling deceased persons
• Be capable of performing physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting as required
• Availability for rostered weekend and after hours work as required
• A current QLD driver's license

Experience within the industry is preferred, however full training will be provided to the right candidate.
