About the role
The type of work you will undertake is expected to include:
- Waste management plans and strategies for a variety of new and established developments
- Local government advisory e.g. feasibility studies, options analysis, facility master-planning, circular economy projects
- Waste management audits and infrastructure reviews
- Liaise with engineers and clients to discuss project requirements and develop appropriate waste management and resource recovery outcomes
- Coordinating internally and externally with other services and project team members
- Preparing specifications and reports and providing advice to clients
You will join our close-knit team environment at our Collins Street Melbourne office (7-minute walk from Flinders Street station).

About you
With an uncompromising commitment to customer satisfaction and service, you will be an experienced candidate (minimum 4 years experience) who will manage several projects simultaneously. You will oversee and prepare reports and liaise with local government, state government departments and the private sector. You will also co-ordinate fee proposals and tenders for both government and private sector projects.
You will ideally have experience in a similar role and seeking an opportunity to develop as a project leader in a supportive and friendly team environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Application of waste management, resource recovery and circular economy principles, preferably with a consultancy background.
- Degree qualified - Environmental Engineering/Science or similar.
- Understanding of engineering and architectural design principles to analyse and interpret documentation and drawings.
- Proven project management experience.
- Experience in advising local/state government on waste management and/or circular economy issues.
- You will bring expertise and a coachable mindset; be passionate about improving.
- Ability to develop relationships at senior levels and identify new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
