IT Field Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our dynamic team at Series Consulting (MSP). The Field Technician will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting services to our clients, ensuring their IT systems are operational, secure, and efficient. This role involves traveling to client locations to resolve issues related to hardware, software, networks, and other IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support for a variety of IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and networking problems.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and networking devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades for client systems.
Provide remote support when necessary, utilizing remote desktop tools.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Ensure clients' IT infrastructure is running optimally and securely.
Document and track service requests, incidents, and resolutions using the company's ticketing system.
Perform site assessments and audits to ensure IT equipment is properly configured and meets client needs.
Educate clients on best practices for IT security and data protection.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and MSP best practices.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred).
3+ years of experience in a similar field technician or IT support role.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Proficiency in network setups, configurations, and troubleshooting (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Familiarity with common software applications, security tools, and backup solutions.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Willingness to travel to client locations as needed (may involve occasional overnight stays).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.
Experience in an MSP environment is preferred.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, client-focused setting.
Occasional on-call or after-hours work may be required.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 20kg.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
