The Role & Project
As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.

MACA is seeking a Tyre Fitter/Serviceperson with Civil experience to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.

Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate's location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.

*To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess:*

• Competent to remove and re/fit rims and wheel assemblies, perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust, and report to supervisor
• Assist with general maintenance and servicing assisting of mobile plant and equipment in a safe, efficient and productive manner
• Monitor plant and equipment condition to ensure correct operation
• Check and maintain correct fluid and oil levels on machinery
• Collecting of data relating to machine oil/fuel consumption
• Effectively work and communicate with other team members to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
• Must have a "Can Do" attitude and safety conscious at all times

*To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess:*

• Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
• Minimum of 12 months experience working as a Tyre Fitter working on Heavy Mining Equipment
• White Card.
• Australian HR Driver's Licence
