Automotive Electrician

As a result of this growth, we have a requirement for an Automotive Electrician in our Brisbane Workshop. As an Automotive Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems within our vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the smooth functioning of electrical components, ranging from lighting systems to advanced vehicle control systems. You will work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency are paramount.

Your key responsibilities will be -

• Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment/software.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, etc.
• Install new electrical components such as audio systems, lighting accessories or security systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on vehicle electronics.
• Test repaired/replaced components to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide accurate time estimates for completion of tasks.
• Keep up to date with advancements in automotive technology/electrical systems.

We are looking for someone who has-

• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical problems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Experience with installing aftermarket electronic accessories
• Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment/software
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members

Qualifications-

• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent experience is essential.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Auto Electrician in the automotive industry.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Additional certifications or training in automotive electronics will be advantageous.
