Job Description

Your opportunity to join us

Our Edinburgh Parks facility serves as a cornerstone of commitment, boasting state-of-the-art processing capabilities and a dedicated team focused on excellence in safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

As Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor, you will engage and lead your team to drive performance in the achievement of established goals. Providing front-line operational support, you will ensure customer service levels are maximised and supply rates are achieved on an ongoing, continuous basis. As a leader within the business, you will play an instrumental role in creating and implementing processes and procedures, driving best practice and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiencies and improve operational performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of on and off-site warehousing operations, including inventory management, dispatch, receiving, and logistics for the Edinburgh Parks Further Processing Operation.
  • Liaise with other Ingham's sites to coordinate intra and interstate logistics
  • Lead, mentor, and train a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Understand food safety requirements, including management of allergen controls, HACCP, and GMP

Key requirements:

  • Experience managing warehouse or distribution centres with a proven track record of achieving positive operational outcomes
  • Superior leadership skills, able to build rapport quickly and effectively to create a highly collaborative working environment
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain logistics within an FMCG environment including demonstrable understanding of Cold Chain Operations, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives including knowledge of 5S, Total Productive Manufacturing, LEAN/Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical skills with effective P&L and budget management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic business environment
  • Resilience and able to recover from setbacks
  • Experience working in a production environment will be advantageous
