Role
The Senior Digital Solutions Consultant position is based in Australia with a focus on business development & retention in the Australian market and across the APAC region. The senior member of the team will report directly to the Global Head of Digital Solutions Consulting based in London, UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide digital and technology expertise within business development team across asset owners and asset managers in support their investment decision-making and oversight, including their use of data, analytics and technology solutions.
- Consultative pre-sales and sales engagement on front to back solutions, functional data flow, data integration and digital tooling
- Consulting on client needs to create the value proposition across our technology, digital and data capabilities
- Creating innovative, integrated cross-product solutions
- Preparing and pitching influential technology demos to clients, prospects and consultants across business lines
- Raising Northern Trust's profile as a market leading digital and data driven provider
- Providing input and direction towards Northern Trust's technology, data and digital solutions and strategy
- Working closely with the RFP (Request for Proposal) team and Marketing team to ensure a coherent, consistent message is communicated externally regarding Northern Trust's technology offerings
- Liaising with the business to drive innovation and promote leading technology in the industry
- Staying aware of changing market conditions and tracking digital and data trends, new market leading technologies and tools within the industry to ensure Northern Trust's is offering relevant and up-to-date technology platforms
Additional Responsibilities Include
- Providing strategic sales support for Northern Trust initiatives aimed at expanding & retaining client relationships and business development
- Market engagement with channel partnership firms
- Coordinating technical pre-sales activities, transferring technical specifications and product knowledge to existing and prospective clients through the RFP/ RFI process
- Proactively investigating ways to differentiate Northern Trust's technology offering from the competition
- Proactive engagement and use of AI within the sales process
- Leading collaborative efforts to educate the business and client management on the data and digital market and client trends
Skills/Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to understand and process information regarding technology based products
- Demonstrated ability to create a holistic, client focused story that highlights the value to the end-user(s)
- A deep understanding of client functions, needs and pain points – and potential technology solutions
- Demonstrated ability to create a network of contacts whilst building trust & credibility in the framework of those relationships
- Experience in data management, data operations and data capabilities
- Demonstrated multi-segment expertise within the financial sector
- Multi-product expertise for technology and reporting solutions within the financial sector.
- A proven track record in sales presentations and demonstration of technologies and tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead prospect and client technology roadshows
- Knowledge of AI, use cases and how to drive adoption – both internal and external
- Knowledge of traditional and alternative assets
- Knowledge of industry technology platforms such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, Simcorp, CRD, Investran, Burgiss and data platforms such as Snowflake
- A proven self-starter with the energy and passion to continually create new narratives to showcase and articulate the value of a company's brand
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in a highly regulated environment
- Willing and available to travel to client meetings, conference and roadshows though APAC
