Salt Medics are partnered with a wonderful facility, located in Coastal QLD, dedicated to the support and care of those in the grasp of drug & alcohol addiction. Due to staff annual leave, they require a locum GP to work as part of their passionate multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality care their patients.

Job Description

  • Conduct medical assessments of newly admitted patients
  • Provide referrals and recommendations based on your assessment
  • Run the GP Clinic at the facility, providing a range of care for the patients
  • Wok with empathy and diligence as part of the MDT

Experience in Addiction or Mental Health will be an advantage, however, those with empathy and a genuine interest in Addiction Medicine are encouraged to apply. ORT prescriber rights are NOT required, therefore this is a great opportunity to explore Addiction Medicine as a GP.

Details

  • Pay rate of $2,500 per day
  • Travel and accommodation provided
  • Work Monday - Thursday, 9am- 5pm, no on call, no weekends or public holidays
  • Dates of locum 15th December - 30th January (smaller blocks 3 to 4 weeks can be considered)
  • GPs must hold full Specialist Registration with AHPRA
