About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Bricklayer Tradesman / Supervisor to join our team. Opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of projects across Perth and remote WA, including government and infrastructure scopes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, repair, and restore walls and other structures using bricks, blocks, and similar materials.
  • Read, interpret, and work to architectural plans and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety codes and site-specific regulations.
  • Supervise bricklaying projects, ensuring completion to high standards, on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and provide on-the-job training for less experienced team members.
  • Allocate and coordinate site personnel, equipment, suppliers, and materials.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with site teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Manage deliveries, consumables, and project logistics.
  • Perform site inspections and execute critical quality and safety checks.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified in Bricklaying/Block laying.
  • 5+ years of hands-on bricklaying experience (preferably with supervisory background)
  • IRATA L2 or L3 Rope Access Certification (for high-access maintenance repairs)
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Advanced problem-solving, planning, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to high standards in safety, quality, and performance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, plans, engineers' reports, SWMS, and JHAs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, plus negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Physically fit and able to work in remote environments or challenging conditions.
  • Experience in the construction and mining industries

Desirable or Willing to Obtain

  • Advanced Scaffolding and/or Intermediate/Advanced Rigging qualifications.
  • Valid or eligible for Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) for port/wharf access.
  • Construction White Card
  • Current Police Clearance and ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
