About the Role:
Your main role is to weigh grape delivery trucks arriving at and leaving Berri Estates Winery, and to accurately test the grapes using Maselli and Yuba protocols at the testing station.
To undertake very basic laboratory tasks whilst undertaking further training in quality control operations, including:
- Enter data accurately, maintain intake schedules, and manage weighbridge dockets for both winery and growers
- Direct trucks to appropriate crushers and maintain cancellation and under/over sheets at the Out Weighbridge
- Answer calls professionally and coordinate effectively with crusher supervisors, testing station operators, and truck marshallers
- Operate Maselli and Yuba equipment to collect juice and berry samples according to protocol; collect residue samples when needed
- Ensure all work areas are cleaned and washed down regularly to maintain hygiene and safety standards
