HQG Pty Ltd is a family-owned and run basalt quarry supplying blue-metal aggregates, TfNSW specified road-base and sub-base, precoated aggregates, and numerous other quarry products. Qualifications & experience

  • NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Work, Health and Safety Construction (White) Card (preferred).
  • Crushing experience including maintenance
  • Multi-skilled operator with competencies, licences, and qualifications related to the operation of mobile plant (front-end loaders, excavators, dump trucks, water carts, and other mobile quarry plant).
  • Valid licences and tickets required for front-end loader, excavator, dump truck, and water cart operation.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating mining and earthmoving plant and equipment in a quarry or similar environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of mobile plant operation experience required.
  • Experience in quarry products, processing and stockpiling highly regarded.
  • Valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa required.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Daily operation of front-end loaders, excavators, and dump trucks in providing aggregate to the crushing and screening and pre-coat plant.
  • Quarry plant maintenance and stockpiling.
  • Crushing experience including maintenance such as changing screens.
  • Crushing maintenance experience such as changing screens is preferred but comprehensive training will be provided on the job.
  • Assisting a close-knit team with these and other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the quarry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sound health and safety practices.
  • Accurate completion of work-related documentation.
