Childcare Centre Cook

Are you passionate about cooking for children and want to be the heart of our centre? Bright Steps Academy Beresfield is looking for a qualified Cook or Chef to join our team full-time (38 hours/week) and bring creativity and care to every meal.

• You love cooking delicious, nutritious food for children.

• You're efficient, organised, and manage routines with ease.
• You hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or Food Handling Qualifications.
• You have a Working With Children Check (WWC).
• You bring a minimum of 12 months' experience as a Cook in an early childhood centre environment.
• First Aid/CPR qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• You thrive working as part of a supportive, friendly team.

What You'll Do

• Create interesting, seasonal menus that cater to children's allergies and nutritional needs — all within budget.
• Support the team with our "Get Up and Grow" & "Munch and Move" programs.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the team.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
