Ekidna School of Early Learning, Dee Why, is seeking experienced Certificate III and Diploma qualified educators who are dedicated to nurturing children and building strong, respectful relationships with families and colleagues.

About Us

At Ekidna, we provide high-quality care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, in a collaborative and inclusive environment. We're committed to creating engaging learning experiences that support every child's development while aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Your Role

As an educator at Ekidna, you will:

  • Support and guide children through meaningful and developmentally appropriate experiences
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and implement engaging learning curriculums
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing for all children
  • Take responsibility as the Responsible Person when required (applicant must have previous experience as an RPoD or willing to be a Responsible Person for the service when required)
  • Be able to work with all age groups (preferences can be discussed during interview process)

  • Work flexibly to support the needs of the service, with options of either:

  • 4 x 10-hour days, or

  • 5 x 8-hour days

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an early childhood setting
  • A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
  • Confidence (and previous experience) to step into the Responsible Person role when needed,
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and current industry regulations
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • A genuine love for working with children and a proactive, professional attitude

Required Certifications:

  • Child Protection training (completed and up to date)
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Full Australian working rights
