Receptionist/Child Minder

We're Hiring: Reception & Creche Hybrid Role at World Gym Mount Gravatt

What We're Looking For

We need a dedicated team player who thrives in both a customer-facing reception role and in providing care for children in our KidsWorld Creche.

You'll need to be:

• Professional & Reliable – Punctuality, accountability, and consistency are essential.
• Warm & Friendly – Able to create a welcoming environment for our members and their children.
• Flexible & Available – Must be available across all shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Weekdays: 5:00am–1:00pm, 8:00am–4:00pm, 3:00pm–8:00pm, 4:00pm–8:00pm
• Weekends: Between 6:00am–8:00pm (Saturday) & 7:00am–7:00pm (Sunday)
• Team-Oriented – Works collaboratively, communicates clearly, and supports others.
• Organised & Efficient – Handles multiple tasks with professionalism and care.

Your Responsibilities

Reception Duties:

• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.
• Greet and assist members with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Manage member check-ins, bookings, and enquiries.
• Handle phone calls, emails, and transactions confidently.
• Meet daily and weekly sales KPIs for supplements and merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient front desk area.

Creche Duties:

• Provide safe, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for children.
• Supervise playtime and ensure a nurturing environment.
• Complete attendance, sign-in/out, and child information forms accurately.
• Communicate with parents regarding their children's needs or special requirements.
• Follow all creche policies, child protection legislation, and OHS procedures.
• Report any safety, behavioural, or procedural concerns promptly.

What You'll Need

• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) – Required
• First Aid & CPR Certification – Required
• Driver's Licence – Preferred
• Customer service or childcare experience – Highly regarded
• Passion for fitness, health, and helping others – Essential
