About the role

Tron Communications Pty Ltd, a telecommunications services provider, is seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technician/Rigger to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunications Technician/Rigger, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure for Telstra, Optus, TPG and NBN. What you'll be doing

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment, including antennas, towers, microwave transmission, optical fibre and other network infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with telecommunications systems to ensure uninterrupted service for our customers
  • Performing scheduled and preventive maintenance on telecommunications equipment to maximize system uptime and reliability
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure the successful completion of telecommunications installations and upgrades
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment
  • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers as needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician/Rigger or in a similar role
  • Qualifications in telecommunications or a related field
  • Experience on Telstra, Optus, TPG and NBN telecom works
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications equipment, including antennas, towers, microwave transmission, optical fibre and network infrastructure
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, as built documents schematics, and site designs
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work at heights and in challenging outdoor environments
  • Valid driver's license in Australia
  • Commitment to safety and a strong safety-first mindset
  • Construction Card/White Card and all listed certifications required at time of application
  • Willingness to work away from home for extended periods with paid travel allowance provided
