Cyber Security Architect | Sydney | 6-Month Contract

Our client is seeking an experienced
Cyber Security Architect
to join their team on a 6-month contract based in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to shape and evolve enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies within a complex and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve IAM domain architecture, roadmaps, and patterns.
  • Design and lead the implementation of new IAM services, focusing on Identity Governance, Roles & Entitlement Management, and Access Management.
  • Define IAM processes, including Registration, Authentication, Authorisation, and Delegated Access.
  • Create IAM solution blueprints and drive deployment best practices.
  • Provide input into long-term IAM strategies, working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops with technical leads, business analysts, and solution architects.
  • Monitor and review IAM systems and standards to continuously improve capacity and effectiveness.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in Identity and Access Management architecture, solution design, and delivery.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with IGA solutions (e.g. SailPoint, Saviynt) and SSO technologies (e.g. Ping, Okta).
  • In-depth knowledge of PAM/PIM tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Thycotic.
  • Experience with User Access Review (UAR), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and governance in large, complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft IAM technologies including Azure AD and Active Directory.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure, networks, and security architecture.
  • Knowledge of both on-premises and cloud platform hosting.
