Part-time EAP teacher position available at a RTO campus in the south of Brisbane.

We are a growing RTO delivering nationally recognised VET qualifications in English, business, automotive skills, cookery and hospitality, and other disciplines.

We are looking for a suitable person to fill the role of EAP teacher.

Duties

  • Prepare for, deliver and test EAP courses offered by the RTO
  • Participate in course validation and moderation
  • Mark, correct and provide feedback on students' assignments and assessments
  • Maintain students' attendance
  • Generate student reports
  • Manage resources effectively and efficiently
  • Provide general academic support as directed by the Academic Manager
  • Undertake and participate in other activities/projects/duties as directed.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Expert level of General and Academic English
  • Certificate IV or above in TESOL, or equivalent
  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Understanding of student needs and passionate in student support
  • High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with international students.

The position is scheduled to commence immediately.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia
  • Willingness to obtain a Police Check
  • Currently residing within normal commuting distance of Slacks Creek, QLD.
