Elevated above the corner of George and King Street, sitting atop the Cartier building, JŌJI overlooks the main commercial crossroads of the Sydney CBD. Surrounded by the city's vibrant energy, JŌJI offers a contemporary bar lounge experience infused with the textures of Japan, where the art of the cocktail takes centre stage alongside a unique culinary offering. As the night deepens, JŌJI comes alive with carefully curated live music and DJ line-up, offering an eclectic soundtrack that carries guests late into the night. With panoramic views that capture the pulse of Sydney, JŌJI invites guests to create and savour life's unique moments in a setting that merges the beauty and subtlety of Japanese design with the dynamic spirit of its iconic location. Here, in the heart of the city, every sip, bite, and beat is a journey.
We have a 5% Service Charge on all bills that goes back to the team, live music and most importantly plenty of hours to give with a wide range of shifts on offer to suit almost any availability.
Who We're Looking For:
We're seeking cocktail bartenders who share our passion for hospitality and are interested in being part of a team that values respect, quality, creativity, and collaboration. JŌJI is a sophisticated cocktail bar and restaurant known for its meticulously curated menu, innovative cocktails, and an ambiance that exudes elegance and charm. Key Responsibilities of a Bartender:
- Provide exceptional service with confidence, poise, and attention to detail, setting a standard for the rest of the team
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of high-quality cocktails, from timeless classics to innovative signature creations, with precision and flair
- Manage high volume with grace maintaining a calm and focused demeanor during busy periods, ensuring consistency, speed, and quality in every drink
- Anticipate and fulfil the unexpressed wishes of our guests
- Collaborate seamlessly and work in harmony with our team to deliver flawless service and anticipate guests' unexpressed wishes.
For successful candidates, they must have the following attributes:
Have a strong desire to create experiences for guests
Passion for hospitality with an appreciation for refined, considered approach to service
- Exceptional communication skills, poised, articulate and capable of engaging with guests, co-workers and stakeholders with genuine warmth and professionalism
- Refined hospitality experience. Previous experience in a high-end or luxury service environment is preferred. Familiarity with fine dining or upscale cocktail bars is a significant advantage.
Possess a positive attitude and grace under pressure

- Uncompromising standards with an un unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to providing guests with an impeccable experience from the moment they arrive
- Hungry to learn and driven to excel in whatever they do
- Strong product knowledge of food and beverage
- Minimum 3-year experience in a similar role
