We are NT Electrical Group, and we are looking for a highly motivated, organised, and ambitious Finance and Payroll Officer to work with our Team.

We are the largest Electrical Service Contractors in the Northern Territory and our experienced team provides tailored electrical solutions across a broad range of industry sectors including Defence, telecommunications, power utilities, manufacturing, education, media, agriculture, local council, government, civil construction, and general industry. What is the Role and what will you be Responsible for?

  • Job Costing preparation and invoicing
  • Monthly Contractural Reporting
  • Following up outstanding invoices
  • Performing month-end accounting closes
  • General Accounts Receivable duties
  • Assist Financial Controller with weekly management reporting
  • Performing online banking transactions
  • Preparation of timesheets and Payroll processing
  • Performing general administrative duties and providing administration support across all departments as required
  • Responsible for payroll generation of payment files for upload to bank

Skills and Experience we would admire:

  • Strong background in a finance/accounts. Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar roll.
  • Experienced with Payroll processing and understanding Awards
  • Experience in accounting programs ie MYOB
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent Exel capabilities
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Have a friendly demeanor with a positive and mature attitude
  • Enthusiastic, courteous and conscientious
  • Use initiative and also be willing to seek help when required
  • Payroll experience an advantage
