We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Mental Health Clinician to join our CAMHS South Team working with consumers experiencing first episode of psychosis located at located at the Gosford Mental Health Unit..

About the Role

• The position sits within CAMHS and provides assertive outreach and intensive case management, specifically aimed at engaging young people aged 12 to 24 years experiencing first episode psychosis and moderate to severe mental health problems/disorders.
• To provide professional clinical services to children/young people aged 12 to 24 experiencing first episode psychosis and their families/carers.
• To provide evidence based individual therapy with a recovery focus based on the principals of early psychosis.
• To ensure families and carers have input into assessments, care plans and reviews where appropriate.
• To liaise with relevant agencies and actively participate in case conferences and team meetings concerning the care of young people and support families/carers.
• To consult with team members and staff from other agencies regarding the care and management of clients

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Current Working with Children's Check or happy to obtain.
• Valid NSW Drivers Licence to be flexible and able to work in multiple sites across the Central Coast District.
• Minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration or Social Work with AASW membership or Counselling or Community Welfare, with three years post graduate experience in mental health; OR Master's Degree Clinical Psychology with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA OR Tertiary Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Inc. Div. 1 AHPRA registration) with relevant post grad qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their post grad study.
• Postgraduate experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service or Mental Health Service

This position is graded for the following:

• Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2
• Clinical Psychologist,
• Counsellor Level 3
• Occupational Therapist Level 3
• Senior Psychologist,
• Social Worker Level 3
