About the ClientOur client is a well-established, family-owned timber and hardware supplier based in Welshpool, WA. They service trade, retail, mining, and engineering customers with a wide range of quality timber and building products and have a strong reputation for expert service and local reliability. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision workmanship and enjoys working with high-quality timber in a well-equipped production environment. This position is for an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform workshop-based carpentry and timber machining to client specifications.
  • Read and interpret job sheets accurately and ensure projects are completed to spec.
  • Safely operate a range of timber and joinery machinery.
  • Work with the stores and sales teams to ensuring orders are delivered on time.
  • Record job progress and hours accurately.
  • Occasionally assist with onsite installations as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification in Carpentry or Joinery.
  • Proven experience in workshop or timber machining roles.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (full working rights).
  • Confident operating power tools and woodworking machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment (dusty/noisy).
