Acorn Stairlifts is the Australian division of the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of stairlifts to help people with stairs in their homes. The home-care industry in Australia is currently going through a continued period of growth, making it a very attractive career choice. Acorn, as a leader in this field, continues to drive forward its growth throughout Australia. To capitalise on this growth and our future plans, we are looking for additional capable and enthusiastic Installations and Service Technicians to support our expanding Operations team.
This fantastic opportunity will involve installing, servicing and repairing our stairlift installations in the Melbourne region. There may also be the need for regular regional and interstate travel for training.
- This is a Full time role with lots of overtime possibilities and you are paid for all the driving, that means from when you leave home until you return back home. Technicians work an average 43 hour weeks.
- You take the van home with you, and access replenishment stock at a local storage facility set up close to home.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have current full Australian working rights
- Hold a clean Australian driver's licence
- Be mechanically minded
- Have good physical fitness and be able to lift heavy items on a regular basis
- Have good attention to detail
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have knowledge and experience using power tools (desirable)
- Be able to work autonomously
A background in stairlifts is not essential as full training will be provided.
This role involves working in the homes of our customers, many of whom are elderly. Therefore, the successful candidate must be well presented, tidy, honest and able to demonstrate pride in a job well done.
