Casual Labourer Assistant – Major Industries Restoration

Location: Belconnen, ACT 2616

Position: Casual (8 hours per day with lunch break)

Dates: Ongoing work casual work

Hourly Rate: Competitive + relevant entitlements, including penalty rates, overtime, allowances, and superannuation

About Us:

Major Industries Restoration specialises in insurance restoration services, handling fire, flood, mould, and other damage claims on behalf of insurance companies. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality restoration services to our clients and are currently looking for a Casual Labourer Assistant to join our team and support our qualified Restoration Technicians.

The Role:

This position will involve assisting our experienced technicians in the field, particularly at a fire-affected cafe in Belconnen. The role is ideal for someone eager to gain experience in the restoration industry while providing essential support to the team. While it's not a building site environment, you'll be involved in hands-on tasks that are crucial to the restoration process.

Key Duties Include (but not limited to):

• General labouring tasks
• Cleaning and remediation works
• Assisting with the restoration of the fire-affected cafe
• Working alongside experienced Restoration Technicians
• Occasional lifting and manual tasks as required

Hours:

Work hours will be between 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a casual position with ongoing work for the right candidate.

• Physically fit and able to handle manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving equipment
• Ready to take on various tasks with a positive attitude

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• IICRC accreditation (Water, Mould, Fire)
• Background or knowledge in building and contents restoration, or cleaning/carpet cleaning
• Experience driving small trucks or manual vehicles
• Willingness to undergo a Police check
