Mentone Grammar is a dynamic ELC through to Year 12 co-educational School, with a proud history dating back to the 1920s. Our School is structured into six campuses, housed in one location in the Bayside suburb of Mentone.

The school is an open-entry school, drawing students from local Bayside and surrounding suburbs. The school became co-educational in 2006 and adopted a unique Together-Apart-Together model of education, which has resulted in continual growth. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are excited to welcome a passionate educator to join our team as a French Language Teacher, commencing in Term 1, 2026. This is a part-time, ongoing role (0.85 FTE), with the potential to become full time in 2027 and onwards. This marks the launch of a new French program at Mentone Grammar. The successful candidate will teach Year 7 and take on a middle-years mentor load.

ABOUT YOU

  • The successful candidate will be someone highly adept in the French language: able to successfully guide, challenge and motivate students to explore their potential in written and spoken French.
  • We are seeking a teacher who can demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice, understanding how students 'learn best' and effectively planning and delivering outstanding lessons which engage and extend all students.
  • Current VIT registration.
  • Flexibility to increase hours from 2027.
