Yard Coordinator

As Wingfield Yard Coordinator at Collins Transport, you'll play a key role in keeping our nightly yard operations running smoothly — managing trailer movements, coordinating with drivers and operations, and keeping the freight moving safely and efficiently.

• Full-Time
• Monday to Friday - 6pm start

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organise and coordinate the placement of trucks and trailers within the depot
• Move trailers on/off loading docks and around depot using a yard tug
• Ensure the efficient use of yard space to maximise operational flow
• Communicate with drivers and operations team to manage placement of trailers
• Couple and uncouple trailers consistently throughout shift
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues related to trailer and truck placements
• Report any damages, accidents, or incidents that occur within the yard

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Excellent reversing skills of B-Doubles into loading docks
• Proven ability to couple/uncouple trailers
• Leadsership and organisational skills, proven within the transport industry
• Current HC (or above) licence
• Experience operating a yard tug (preferred however prime mover experience is welcomed)
• Experience with refrigerated transport (preferred)
