Level 1/2 IT Support Technician

The Role

We're seeking a motivated Level 1/2 IT Support Technician to join our team. Reporting to the NBCE Management Team, you'll play a key role in supporting our entire technology stack across office, remote, and field operations.

Your day-to-day will include administering IT infrastructure, networks, applications, and deskside support, while also contributing to IT strategy, security, and project delivery. You'll liaise with internal stakeholders, manage vendors, and provide outstanding service that enables our engineering teams to deliver exceptional results.

What You'll Do

• Implementing and supporting NBCE IT Security to strengthen the organisation's cyber security posture and align with the most appropriate cyber security frameworks
• Overseeing and administering IT infrastructure, networks, applications (IT and OT), desk side support, IT procedures and policies.
• Contributing advice on IT strategy in planning for new IT products, processes, and arrangements to implement new technologies as they become applicable.
• Delivering innovation via the IT Roadmap and IT Project portfolio
• Preparing business cases when IT upgrades and enhancements are necessary and presenting to NBCE Management for endorsement and approval.

• Assisting with the development and dissemination of IT policy and best practice guides across the organisation
• Monitoring performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure and application landscape.
• Administering and inputting into the NBCE IT Policy, IT Security Policy and Business Continuity Plans, as required
• Managing IT procurement activities and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with NBCE IT Security and Due Diligence requirements.
• Meeting with existing and new technology vendors to understand product offerings and development roadmaps.
• Active participation in all stages of strategic technology projects, providing architectural and functional subject matter expertise and ensuring end to end continuity of project delivery.
• Provide NBCE Management with updates on latest IT initiatives, raise and mitigate risks, and prioritise the IT roadmap.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on a regular basis to understand business pain points and requirements.
• Lead IT projects at times and/or be involved as SME, providing oversight and guidance on IT system selection, delivery and BAU transition.
• Manage time and resources to meet KPIs/SLAs, ensuring resources appropriately allocated so exceptional customer service is provided for stakeholders at all levels.
• Educating stakeholders on the use of end user computing hardware and software

Desirable Attributes

• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• 3–5 years' experience in IT admin/helpdesk support.
