Step into the role of Cook at Nido Carlisle, where you'll be more than just a team member—you'll be a hands-on teacher, a role model, and an inspiration to young minds. This is a part time role for two days a week. The kitchen is yours to get creative with; create an environment to unleash your culinary creativity and passion for great cooking, helping our children create lifelong healthy habits.  

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

• Stunning service 78 place close to the local coffee shop
• Caters for children from 6 weeks to five years old across 5 rooms and 3 stunning outdoor play areas as well as a Piazza
• Walking distance to the bus stop and also close to Carlisle train station for easy commute to work
• Long standing team with excellent leadership support
• Opening hours of the service are - 6:30am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday
• Utilise the Story Park platform, enriching our communication with families about their child's development and fostering a sense of active participation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Driven to provide outstanding nutrition and education to young children
• Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines
• Have experience in cooking for a large amount of children at any one time
• Conduct weekly stock take and ordering
• Maintain and ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene such as cleaning and washing
• Strong understanding of allergens and dietary requirements
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required for this role
• A Valid Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
• Previous experience working as a Cook in a childcare setting is required
