Senior Software Developer | Medical Startup | $150,000

We are working closely with a technology-driven company specialising in advanced spectroscopy systems for cell and wafer inspection.

Their systems are used globally in research and manufacturing environments, combining precision hardware with intelligent software.

They are looking to scale up and want to hire a strong Developer to lead the way.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong LabVIEW backgroound.
  • Strong experience with Python in hardware control or instrumentation environments
  • Familiarity with OpenCV or other image analysis frameworks
  • Experience integrating with industrial hardware and communication protocols
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and architecture
  • Experience working with REST APIs, messaging systems (e.g. ZeroMQ, MQTT), or similar

Responsibilities:

  • Migrated an existing LabVIEW Actor Framework application to a modern, scalable Python-based architecture.
  • Designed and developed a modular backend system for device control and data acquisition.
  • Integrated diverse hardware components, including cameras, lasers, motors, PLCs, and spectrometers.
  • Developed interfaces for multiple communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet/IP, USB3, and GigE Vision.
  • Implemented and integrated image processing and computer vision capabilities using OpenCV and related libraries.
