About Us

Oceans 6019 is a vibrant beachfront tavern in the heart of Scarborough, known for its relaxed coastal vibe, live music, events, and a great mix of cocktails, beers, and bites. We're a busy venue with a loyal local customer base, and we're looking for energetic, skilled, and reliable bar staff to join our team.

The Role

As part of the Oceans crew, you'll:

  • Provide fast, friendly, and professional service behind the bar
  • Pour drinks with confidence - from tap beers to cocktails
  • Deliver outstanding customer service during busy service periods
  • Maintain bar cleanliness, stock levels, and presentation standards
  • Support the team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Uphold RSA and liquor licensing requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 1+ year in a busy bar or hospitality environment is preferred; but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Skills: Strong cocktail knowledge, cash handling, and multitasking ability
  • Personality: Energetic, customer-focused, and a team player

Requirements:

  • Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
  • Food Safety Certificate (completed upon employment)
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transport to Scarborough Beach

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rates: In line with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA), with levels and pay dependent on your skills and experience.

  • Penalty rates apply for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
