About the role

Allcott Hire, a leading provider of equipment rental and sales, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team in Seven Hills, NSW. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of equipment, ensuring our customers receive reliable and efficient service. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including generators, compressors, and small machinery
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing effective solutions
  • Conducting thorough inspections and identifying potential problems before they arise
  • Documenting work completed and maintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience as a Mechanic with generator experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of small to medium-sized equipment, preferably in the automotive or equipment rental industry
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with customers and team members
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
